Sales Representative

 Green Tech Ag & Turf Inc. is a successful and expanding John Deere dealer in the Ottawa Valley.  We have recently relocated to our newly constructed stores in Winchester and Stittsville.   These are state of the art John Deere Place facilities. Green Tech carries the full line of John Deere Agricultural and Turf products, as well as selected CWP (Compact Construction Equipment) offerings. We offer full Sales, Service, and Parts to our Customers in both our stores. 

Our Sales reach is large and includes the counties of Lanark, Leeds & Grenville, Prescott & Russell, Renfrew, and Stormont Dundas & Glengarry, as well as the City of Ottawa in Ontario.  We also serve La Vallée-De-La-Gatineau, Les Collines-De-L`Outaouais, and Pontiac in Quebec.  

As part of our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Sales Representative based in our Stittsville location.  Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Green Tech offers a comprehensive benefit and pension program that is co-funded by our employees. 

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position sells new and used agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment to new and existing customers. 

Essential Duties: 

1. Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
2. Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
3. Monitors competitive activity/products and provides timely communication to management, accordingly.
4. Maintains sales management information for all customers in the assigned territory.
5. Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment.
6. Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
7. Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and provides timely communication to management.
8. Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
9. Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
10. Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.

Skills & Qualifications: 

1. 1-2 years agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment sales experience preferred.
2. Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
3. Ability to work flexible hours.
4. Excellent customer relationship skills.
5. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
6. Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
7.  Proficiency in speaking and comprehending both English and French is required.
